CERTIFICATION AND DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES
Three Certification Programmes and one Diploma
BUILDPROC consists of three certification programmes:
To be eligible for the diploma, the candidates must have obtained all three certifications M1, M2 and M3
// Characteristics of the Certification Programmes
Based on a competency framework
The three certification programmes are built on a series of competencies that are broken down and categorized into knowledge, skills and attitudes. Candidates must successfully complete activities to validate the acquisition of each competence addressed in the certification programme. When all the competencies are acquired and validated, candidates obtain their certificate of achievement.
Programme implementation modalities
For the time being, the M1 and M2 certification programme is offered online and M3 certification programme is offered in a blended modality.
Blended learning combines online learning activities with interaction opportunities through a face-to-face course modality. As an example, for the M3 certification programme, when delivered through a blended modality, four of the eight modules are delivered at distance, and four are classroom-based.
The online programmes combine asynchronous and synchronous learning activities and take place entirely online on the ITCILO e-Campus.
Languages
The three certification programmes, M1, M2 and M3, are available in Arabic, English, Spanish and French.
// Diploma Programme
Why a Diploma in Procurement for Agricultural and Rural Development?
The Diploma in Procurement for Agricultural and Rural Development is a new initiative undertaken by ITCILO and IFAD within the framework of the BUILDPROC project. Through this initiative, the ITCILO and IFAD contribute to the professionalization in the workplace of the management functions inherent to procurement. This programme is therefore intended to be practical, useful and applied to the realities of professionals working in the field of project procurement and contract management in the agricultural and rural development sector.
The core objective of this diploma programme is to continue to support the best participants, those who have been certified in M1, M2 and M3 through BUILDPROC, and to enable them to continue their professional development.
To be eligible for the diploma, candidates must have obtained all three certifications M1, M2 and M3.
Once the eligible candidates are enrolled, they complete a capstone project (research). For the capstone project, a senior expert supervises the candidates’ work. Through this final research project, candidates specialize in a cutting-edge theme of their choice. The capstone project is presented in the form of a working paper on a topic related to BUILDPROC, which once produced, is published by the participant through the BUILDPROC diploma programme on the community of practice.
